Across all our brands, our mission is the same: to expand minds through transformative travel experiences.The Role:As our Educational Travel Bookings Officer, based in Lisbon, you will play a vital role in planning and operating our educational tours within the EMEA region. This position requires fluency in French, Italian and English in order to successfully book our tailor-made itineraries. Reporting to the EMEA Operations Manager, you will form an integral part of our Operations Team, providing clear communication to teachers and suppliers and working alongside our Sales Team to provide transformative experiences for our school groups.Responsibilities:Bookings: working as part of the Operations Team to book and schedule upcoming toursContacting suppliers: developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers in order to book various aspects of our bespoke itineraries. This will involve contacting suppliers in English, French and ItalianCommunication: communicate clearly with teachers about upcoming trips, answering their questions and making changes from booking to departureDocumentation: provide documentation to travelling schools, outlining itineraries, bookings, tickets, and relevant safety informationRecord-keeping: keep efficient records of upcoming tours, including payment schedules, ticket purchases, accommodation detailsSystems: maintain accurate and thorough databases of transportation operators, hotels, guides and providing the Sales Team with relevant information for accurate quotingProduct development: contribute ideas for exciting trip ideas to show off the EMEA region to more people and give feedback on more efficient Operations processes
Requirements
Skills and Experience:Effective communicator: able to communicate with a wide range of people from different countries, from hotel receptionists to headteachers.Organised: a careful, organised approach to work is essential for this role. Experience with Word and Excel essential.Experience: experience in the travel industry is desirable, but not essentialWell-travelled polyglot? not essential but working knowledge of countries within the EMEA region is desiredKnowledge of both Italian and French languages is essential – C1 level or above in both languages.Excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential.Team Player Work Ethic: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with other team members to provide the best possible customer experience
