Are you an experienced automotive professional ready to guide a high-performing team at the forefront of AI-driven mobility? We are seeking a Team Lead for AI Testing Drivers to oversee critical testing operations and ensure the safe, effective validation of next-generation autonomous vehicle systems.About the Role As the Team Lead, you will supervise day-to-day testing activities, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure all test procedures are executed with precision and adherence to safety standards. You will work closely with engineering, AI development, and operations teams to transform real-world driving insights into actionable improvements for autonomous vehicle performance. Ideal Candidate Profile You are a technically proficient leader with a deep understanding of automotive systems and AI-driven vehicle behavior. You can rapidly analyze complex autonomous driving scenarios, identify system performance issues, and guide your team in executing precise, data-driven testing. You communicate technical insights clearly to engineering and AI development teams. You are capable of leading international teams in a fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate AI testing drivers across multiple test routes and environments (urban, highway, rural, and adverse weather conditions). Oversee the execution of comprehensive testing scenarios, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and safety.Review, validate, and consolidate detailed test reports, including system performance assessments, edge cases, and anomaly documentation.Supervise vehicle preparation, ensuring all vehicles meet safety, maintenance, and regulatory requirements.Ensure timely resolution of vehicle maintenance issues and enforce strict adherence to operational protocols.Act as the primary point of contact between the testing team and engineering groups, providing high-quality feedback on AI behavior and system performance.Maintain oversight of all test logs, reporting standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process.Uphold and enforce all safety procedures, serving as the safety role model for the testing team.Project specificationStart date: end of January 2025 Project duration: minimum 9 months with possibility of extension Employment type: Contract of employment Work type: Full time (40hours/ week)Work style: driving and remote reporting

Requirements

Requirements Essential: Background in the automotive industry with hands-on technical knowledge, A relevant technical education e.g. a M.Sc. or a B.Sc. within Automotive, Electrical/Embedded Systems, Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar. Proven leadership experience, preferably in automotive, technical, or operational environments Solid experience in coordinating international teams in a fast paced environment. Ability to remotely identify likely technical or operational issues, evaluate their impact, and advise the team on suitable corrective actions. Fluent English (written and verbal communication) Fluent Swedish (written and verbal communication) Proven experience driving on track environments (professional racing, track days, or serious motorsport hobby) Valid European driver's license (clean driving record preferred) Willingness to drive long distances Willingness to travel Currently living in a major city within the country (Finland) Highly Desirable: Experience with vehicle telemetry or data logging systems Understanding of autonomous vehicle technology or AI systems Advanced/defensive driving certifications
